The Parable of the Bags of Gold

14 “Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag,[a] each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’

New Destiny

Our Story

History

New Destiny was founded in 1999 and has since operated under the leadership of Bishop and Pastor Smith, who have faithfully served the greater San Francisco Bay Area and pioneered the establishment, development, growth and success of our two congregations in Pittsburg and Oakland, CA. Throughout the past 25 years of ministry we have spread the Word of God with practical applications, encouraged thousands to pursue a personal relationship with God and assisted in reaching the lost within our congregation and community.

Vision

Through our outreach, we carry the core messages of Faith, Grace, and the Kingdom to help others recognize who they are and thoroughly equip them for higher living. We think of our church as a community of breakthrough believers with a worldwide vision aimed at encouraging others to pursue a personal relationship with God, strengthening families, and going beyond the walls of the church to advance the Kingdom of God through mending the oppressed and brokenhearted. We are committed to making disciples and training and raising leaders that will impact our communities and the world for generations to come.

Mission

The mission of New Destiny is to worship God through serving, loving, evangelizing, and making disciples. We are called to build a multi-cultural apostolic church that strengthens families and goes beyond the walls of the church to impact our region.

Our Targets

Steward & Build

Our heart is to give back to our community, as Jesus instructed us to do. We do so by delivering life changing empowerment every week to our congregants and through our ministries, which tend to the needs and growth of men, women, children, and couples, and by meeting the needs of the hurting through community outreach. Our target is to do more.

With Vision 2025, we desire to utilize our resources to impact our community in a greater way.

Goal 1 Be Great Stewards of What God Has Entrusted Us With By…

-Being Debt Free: Paying off both camps mortgages to provide resources for our community outreaches and Ministries

-Maintaining Upkeep: Doing necessary maintenance on all campuses buildings for optimal function and safety

Goal 2 Building For the Future By…

-Building a Community Center on Oakland’s campus with a kitchen for community health, wellness and educational programs

-Renovating the Pittsburg campus suites for ministry and Destiny Academy expansions

Your prayers, faith, and generous contributions are a testament to your commitment to the mission and vision God has ordained us to accomplish. Every pledge made, every dollar given, and every prayer spoken is a seed planted for the future of New Destiny families and partners.
